The Surplus Party, Switzerland's largest flea market for amateur radio equipment!

The Surplus Party takes place annually on the last Saturday in October at the multi-purpose hall in Zofingen (AG). Admission is free for visitors; exhibitors can reserve tables in advance.

Location

The Surplus Party takes place in the multi-purpose hall in 4800 Zofingen (JN37XG). The hall is located on the campus of the Zofingen education center.

Directions by car

From Bern, Basel and Zurich, take the A1 motorway and exit at Oftringen (exit 48) towards Zofingen. After 200 meters, take the first exit at the roundabout an follow the signs.

From Lucerne, take the A2 motorway and exit at Reiden (exit 18) towards Zofingen. In Zofingen, follow the signs.

A total of approximately 1,000 parking spaces are available for the Surplus Party. The parking spaces directly at the multi-purpose hall are reserved for exhibitors. Access is only possible with a "Surplus Party" parking permit. These parking spaces are also subject to a fee (Saturday until 12:00 noon). The parking permit only authorizes entry directly to the hall but does not replace the required parking ticket.

The parking lot at "Landi" must not be used by Surplus Party visitors. Parking on the meadow or in unmarked areas is also prohibited by law.

Designated parking spaces are available in front of the hall for visitors with mobility impairments. Parking spaces are also reserved there for short-term goods handling.

Arrival by train

Zofingen is located on the SBB (swiss federal railways) line 501 Olten - Lucerne and is a stop for most express trains. Upon arrival in Zofingen, walk south along the railway line. Walk past the bus terminals, go under the railway line to the right (west), and from there continue straight ahead to the multi-purpose hall (a 10-minute walk).

Reservations

Exhibitors can reserve their desired number of linear meters of tables. A reservation offers the following advantages:

• the desired number of linear meters of tables is guaranteed to be available;
• setup can begin 1.5 hours before the general hall opening (from 7:00 am);
• the reserved table will be held until 8:30 am (for any late arrivals);
• setup can be completed more quickly because, thanks to prepayment, no time is lost on administration (payment, exhibitor badge, etc.);
• the table allocation will be published on the hall plan online before the Surplus Party.

If not all tables are reserved in advance, it will be possible to rent table meters directly at the event starting at 8:30 am.

Reservations can be accepted as long as table meters are available, but no later than mid-October. After that, the final occupancy plan will be created and the reservation documents will be sent out.

Terms and Conditions for Selling Goods

By reserving a table space, you accept these terms and conditions for selling goods.

Only items related to amateur radio (from your hobby workshop, new and used equipment, etc.) and related fields, as well as IT equipment, may be offered for sale. We reserve the right to remove completely unrelated items (such as pans, clothing, food, etc.) from the hall!

Only tables are provided; no chairs, walls, etc., are available. Please bring sufficient cable and a bit of ham spirit for power supply. The stability of the 230V mains power supply depends on the skills and needs of the hams.

Prices

Vendors can rent a meter of table space for CHF 20. No additional sales commission or similar fees will be charged. The CHF 20 is the only fee payable.

Admission to the Surplus Party is free for all attendees!

Reservation Form

	Use the reservation form to order your desired number of table meters. Please note the following regarding invoicing:
Switzerland	The exhibitor resides in Switzerland or has at least a Swiss bank account. The invoice will be sent and payment processed electronically (email/online banking). The parking pass and exhibitor badges will be sent by mail before the Surplus Party.
International	The exhibitor resides abroad. To avoid bank charges, the amount will be collected in cash at the Surplus Party during the day. The parking pass and exhibitor badges will be sent by post before the Surplus Party.
